About Leukerbad

Leukerbad is a small village high in the Swiss Valais area. Set in a spectacular location under high mountain peaks, Leukerbad was discovered by the Romans many hundreds of years ago. Today it is a popular mountain spa, health and sport resort all year round. Whether for your health, viniculture, Valais traditions or modern architecture the region around Leukerbad has quite a variety of things to do and to see. Skating Seminar

The Indoor Olympic Size ice rink is overlooked by a licensed bar/restaurant allowing skaters a lovely area to relax in between or after sessions with a variation of refreshments.


Within the ice rink facility there is a gym, badminton and squash courts. The ice rink is located at the bottom of a ski run allowing great access for those that want to ski after ice skating.

Hotel

Lindner Hotel, specially selected by Skateaway for all guests is a luxurious 4 star hotel with full access directly to the World Famous Alpentherme (see photo to the left) From your room you will be provided with bathrobes and slippers so you can change in comfort and walk from your room underground to the Alpentherme. The hotel also has its own thermal pools. The water is heated from the core of the earth and is totally natural! In addition the hotel has a sauna, steam rooms, indoor and outdoor pools.

The hotel has a few different restaurants, which are superb quality, we have a B&B deal with the hotel so there is the opportunity to explore all the restaurants and different cuisines in Leukerbad.

The hotel has its own charming piano bar with small dance floor, where the group often meet in the evening. As many of the group like to dance we normally have guest dancers to show steps for those interested. They have a few different pianist who enjoying playing requests!

Prices

Package prices (per person) include the ice skating seminar and hotel. Please note the nearest airport is Geneva and there is direct trains from the airport. You are advised to book the train in advance as it is significantly cheaper this way. If you would like us to book your transport or would just like more information please get in touch at your earliest opportunity. All prices are based on the exchange rate of 1.55CHF = 1 GBP (if there is a significant change to the rates prior to departure invoicing will be amended accordingly).
