The Berchtesgadener Land is a region of spectacular natural beauty: majestic mountains, crystal clear lakes and the unspoiled nature reserve of the Alpine National Park are yours to enjoy. It is also an area that boast world-famous sights such as the mysterious world of the salt mine, the 'Eagle's Nest' dominating a mountain summit and the 12th century chapel of St. Bartholomew on Lake Königsee, now an unmistakable symbol of the Bavarian Alps.

From the Rupertiwinkl region to Königssee and from Markt Schellenberg to Bad Reichenhall, our lovely little land is dotted with charming villages where alpine customs are kept alive. Parades, religious processions, beer fests and folklore events testify to our locals' love of life and Bavarian traditions. Once chosen by the Bavarian kings, this area boasts a royal castle and many other sights of interest.

Ice Skating Seminar

The Olympic size indoor ice rink is situated approximately 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The coaching team for the seminar are David Lunn, Katie Bennett, Alexei Kislitsyn & Natalia Pestova. The seminar is for 60 minutes each day for 5 days and following the seminar we have private ice where skaters have the opportunity to practice and take private lessons with music. The ice skating seminar consists of warm up and edge work, then the skaters split into different groups to specialise in either free skating, dance or basic skating.

8am - 9am Private Ice for practice and private lessons. (Ice fee included in the price)

9am - 10am Ice skating Seminar

10am - 1.30pm Private Ice for practice and private lessons. (Ice fee included in the price)

PRIVATE LESSONS

Lessons can be pre-booked and are TBC per 15 minutes.

 HOTEL

 Skateaway have chosen two hotel options. The wonderful Hotel Edelweiss in Berchtesgaden which is a superior four star hotel. The hotel boasts a large top floor swimming pool overlooking the mountains with a wellness suite featuring saunas, steam room, infra red cabin and a relaxation room. Each room has bathrobes and slippers for all guests. The package price includes half board, an excellent breakfast with a choice of hot and cold buffet and five course waiter service dinner, the menu is appealing to all appetites. The hotel has different themed restaurants and a wonderful bar in the lobby area.

 The hotel features a large roof terrace with 360 degree views of the breathtaking scenery. The rooftop terrace is equipped with a jacuzzi and restaurant.

 The second hotel is the lovely family run Hotel Bavaria in Berchtesgaden. We have agreed a B&B deal with this hotel meaning the guests have the freedom to try the beer kellers and many other super restaurants in the town. Further details of this hotel will be added shortly.

FLIGHTS

Flights are not included in the above travel costs. We will announce which routes are available once the timetables have been announced. The closest airport is Salzburg approximately 25 minutes from the hotel.

A non-refundable deposit of £150.00 per person is required to secure all reservations.
